Surf-reports: Comprehensive surf forecasting

About us

History and mission

The start of Surf-reports traces back to 2017 when our Founder Ryan Blundell launched our sister website (Tideschart.com), driven by a mission to provide vital information to some of the world's most remote and underserved locations. As an avid traveller, Ryan observed a significant gap in the availability of essential marine forecasting in many of the most remote and isolated places on Earth.

4 years later, our mission was extended to Surf-reports.com. From hidden paywalls to the acquisition of our favourite surf websites, only to eventually be merged and shut down (yes we are looking at you Surfline!), we believe that there has never been a more important time to diversify the source of marine forecasting.

Pantai Tapak Kera, Sumatra, Indonesia is just one of the many underserved areas included in the 50,000+ locations we cover worldwide, and is now accessible to speakers of 9 different languages.
